Bujingai PS2: New Taito game.... starring... Gackt

Bujingai has a much better fighting system then Shinobi and Otogi (can't compare NG since I haven't played it) and as long as there are walls around you can stay up as long as you want, you just can't fly.

I'll have a review of Bujingai coming shortly and elaborate.

This is arguable as there's actually a pretty in-depth variable combo system. How much you'll actually need to bother learning since most enemies are 'tards is another matter entirely.

You can unlock a second costume with a snake-skin shirt, black pants, a more traditional haircut, and sunglasses. Although it looks a lot wierder having a snappy dresser wander amongst Asian ruins while battling demons.

I smell a winner here.

also, can't wait to see the review. I was betting money that Bujingai was coming to the US when i heard about it in like, november, so I won $5. but i also held off on importing it, which I somewhat regret, but oh well. Love hearing people's opinions about it...frothing demand and all that.

Comparing gameplay of two games nobody has played is silly. Lets wait till at least ONE of the games is released first. Then you can go on and on about how much you like one or the other better.

I actually figured there wasn't a chance in hell of it coming over, hence me getting a copy. I guess now I'll be waiting for the price drop when picking up the domestic version.

heh, yeah, I just always figured it was going to come over here. I don't know why...call it a 'gackt sense' or something. =/ I'm *cringes* really hoping they at least leave his voice in...I mean, i don't care if they dub it, fine, whatever, but i hope they leave the option for the japanese to stay in there. I'll still play it no matter what they do to it, but you know...it would just be easier on the ears. It seems pretty popular these days to leave the original voices in, so i can only hope.

Actually, you have to unlock his voice in the Japanese version. He starts off with what I believe is another's voice and once you collect enough Tai Chi coins you can then pick his own from the options menu. Since I've never heard Gackt before this (can't really say I've ever cared) it's not something I noticed right off or anything.

So really, you start off with a intricately decorated outfit (with shoes that really don't fit), raver's hair, and Gackt's face and eventually turn him into actual Gackt after unlocking enough features. :confused:

You can't really say that it has a better fighting system than those two games really. Rygar had plenty of play mechanics galore but it was so completely useless that he might as well have two moves to go a long with the two enemies. Bujingai sounds like Rygar part 2 if the enemies are that tard.

It was still a better combat system, whether or not you had to use it has nothing to do with which is better. As for Bujingai, all of its abilities are needed to beat the bosses and are needed for regular enemies if you don't like getting hit. You can force your way through typical group situations but you'll take a lot of unnessecary damage at times. However, you don't stand a chance in hell of making it past some of those bosses if you don't learn the combat properly.

Okay, that is just awesome, and I so did not know that. What an insanely awesome premise. Thanks for that crazy bit of info...

So yeah... this is taking its sweet time being released.

We got the guides in about a week ago, though.
