To be honest, even I know very little about Iran's stance on such things. I do know that Iran was against the Taliban long before any American even knew who they were (not literally). I'll see if I can find some stuff on this.Quote:

So yeah while Haliburton was negotiating in NYc with Taliban representatives(yup yup, they had offices in NYc even during 9/11) Iran was actively fighting them.
Ok..so now that Uncle Saddam was caught....what do you think it gonna happen? Will there be freedom and everlasting peace in Iraq? HELL NO!! You see...despite what many people (Americans) think, Iranians are not true Muslims. They were invaded and the religion was forced apon them. For that reason, Iranians in the end will win out when it comes to these religious wackjobs. Iraqis on the other hand are arabs and have always been muslim. They have deep roots in Islam and their culture is derived from that, for that reason radical muslims will flourish in that country. In five years America will wish that saddam was still in power. I keep saying this and no one listens....When the gov't of Iran changes and the Iranian people are free...this WILL change the world. The whole concept of a radical Islamic Gov't is based and rooted in Iran. It is that idea that has been exported to all of these "troubled" countries. If they realize that the Radical Islam failed in the country where it started, then it will fail elsewhere. Sure, Saddam was evil. But he was evil in a selfish way. The mullas in Iran have another way of doing it, they recruit the poor and uneduacted and use the words of "God". No one can dispute the word of god!! Saddam ruled by force and nothing else. These sick bastard mullas rule by Devinity!! If god says so, then it shall be. Iraq is a great place to spead the word, there are MANY poor and uneducated people in Iraq due to the tyrannical gov't of the past 30 years. The mullas see this and they will exploit it.
So what does the US gov't do about this? Nothing. They keep holding secret talks with the Iranian gov't. They keep sending those stupid Nuclear Inspectors. It is so sad to see that no one really cares about the Iranian people. All they need is a little push, some encouragement. They need the world to focus their attention on them for as little as 6 months. When you have 70% of your population under the age of 30, change is inevitable. It will happen. But like many people under that age, they are confused with no one to guide them. That is what they need, some support and someone to guide them.
The Iranian Gov't hates the Taliban not because the are evil. It's that the Taliban were making more money than they were by exporting opium. They were also competing with the Mullas with their own form of extreme Islam. There are Taliban in Iran right now, and the Iranian gov't knows it and could care less. In the end it comes down to one thing and one thing only and that is the all mighty Dollar. I'll say it again...a free Iran will change the world.

These days yes, the gov't is totally responsible for forcing religion down peoples throats. And that is why I am saying that people in Iraq are starving for it and that is what those sick mullahs are salivating over. They know that their time in Iran is almost over, they are looking at Iraq like a lion salivating over it's prey. Almaci, why do you think I'm crazy?
