Iran and WMDs

Ok..first of all I don't get the whole angry tone in the reply..but whatever. I never said that I am anyone special to decide what constitutes a true Muslim. All I said is that Iranians see themselves as Persians first Muslims second. Whereas other Arab countries see themselves as one in the same. Arabs have always been muslims, Persians have not. That is all. I never said what people believe in is wrong and I never put anyone in a category. I will say that those sick bastard mullas in Iran and actually any one that uses religion to further their own means is wrong. I can only associate myself with the mullas or ruling clergy in Iran.

As far as the Taliban goes, I guess I should have explained myself further. It's not that the Iranian Gov't was making less $$ than the taliban overall. It's the fact that the Taliban were making money off of the Iranian people with opium, and that was something the Iranian Gov't wanted to do themselves. I guess what I meant was that they didn't like the fact that someone else was taking advantage of their people. Those sick bastards want the poor Iranian people to themselves. They don't want anyone else to suck them dry. Look, I have tons of Family in Iran. I hear all the horrible stories first hand. I speak from first hand knowledge not just from what I read or see on TV.

I have plenty of family in the region myself and hope to visit Iran someday.

You sure youre not mistaking this as sinnce if I recall corectly Iran had a war on drugs as well as the US and the Taliban agreed to end poppy production in the regions they controlled(for wich Bush gave em 120 million dollars) so surely it couldnt have been that either since the Taliban complied with that request.
The regions where the poppy was still being grown were under control of rebel fractions(from wich later the northern front was formed) and they got along well with the US as well as Iran so again I fail to see youre point.

OK...so the Arabs were not muslim before the rise of Islam <duh>. What I am saying is that Arabs have a kinship and brotherhood between each other because of their religion. A muslim in Jordan is seen the same as a muslim in Kuwait. In Iran that is not the case. Iranians are Persians first and muslims second. They do not identify with that kinship. Iranians see themselves as persians, arabs see themselves as muslims.

As far as the war on drugs, the US, and The taliban goes...well the War on drugs is doing great in the US isn't it? The mullas want to control the drugs that comes into Iran. They want to benefit from keeping the youth preoccupied with other crap rather then the things that really matter. I have to say that out of all the horrible dictators and rulers out there, these bastard mullas take the cake. They are willing so destroy their own people for greed...all in the name of god. Atleast all the other dictators did it in the name of themselves!! Oh, the Mullas were also competeing with the Taliban on another front. Religion. They did not want another form of extreme Islam to come into the country and fracture their following. It's all about power & money...it never changes. The only thing that changes is the level of evil, and these fuckers are right up there with the worst of them.

Urm, you cant compare the level of religious fervence in Jordan and Quwait.

Huh? I don't care about the religious fervence....I am talking about how Arabs see themselves vs. how Iranians see themselves. That is all. Ok..how other way can I put this....A Jewish person from Australia sees themseves as a Jew, and a Jewish person from Russia sees themselves as a Jew. That is the same thing with Arabs. No matter what country they are from, they see themselves as Muslims. Iranians are not that way, Iranians associate themselves with their culture and heritage not their religion. For Iranians, there is a complete difference between the two. For arabs there is not, it is one in the same.

Oh, by the way, where is your family from? Just out of curiousity.
