If you're like... retarded. It was easier to chain tricks together, because... well the entire game was full of infinates you could pull off with your feet... There was no thought put into it at all. In JSR you had to try really hard to find the infinated and trick loops, and they weren't easy to pull off. They were there, but they were... you know, balanced and shit.Quote:

I also agree with what Frog said about trick infinites. In JSR, it was fun to look for the lines you could use, and how many times you could loop em. In Future, it's almost too easy to get a really long combo going.
The whole pace of Future is a bit problematic, too. Like, HUGE EXPANSIVE LEVELS...but to the point of being overwhelming. Or FAST, INTENSE SPEED...only to be busted by the fact that you have to stop and check your map every 5 minutes to make sure you're actually heading for that tag in the huge areas. Or FREEROAMING, GO ANYWHERE ENVIRONMENTS...only to get boxed in for police fights, bosses, and such.
It's like, for every envigorating aspect, Sega found a way to clamp it down and drain the fun out of it.
Still, it's good times - I just wouldn't recommend it if you don't have patience for getting lost or having your groove busted.

About a month ago, I decided on an impulse to go back and play a bit of each game. Not surprisingly, I found it MUCH easier to get into JGR. For some reason I just love that game, the style, the music, the challenge, it all comes together to make one of THE greatest games ever. JSRF on the other hand, just doesn't come together in the way the original does. With that being said, I've played JGR for probably 200 hours total, but once I unlocked everything in JSRF (30 hours or so), I've hardly touched it since.
Unless like... you play for score, which I thought was the point of chaining tricks.Quote:
