Hmm, I wonder why Capcom hyped this up as the "Capcom 5" or whatever the fuck, especially for Nintendo, and then went back and changed their mind? Just like how Outbreak is coming to the PS2 even though RE was supposed to be exclusive to PS2.
I thinketh that these games are selling like shite on GameCube and Capcom is getting fed up.
RE:Outbreak was in development long before the Nintendo deal. Flagship and related development teams have been in love with Nintendo ever since the Zelda oracles, the "frustration" would only be coming from management.

Which leave RE2, RE3, REC:VX (but I don't know why Capcom thought those would sell well), PN03 (which is a niche game to begin with) and Gotcha Force as "underperformers" in Capcom's GC exclusive.
Overall, I don't find the sales that bad, even thought they would indeniably have been higher on PS2.

Heh. Go Capcom. The GameCube, in my ever so humble opinion, has gone from gold to garbage. Capcom should kick it to the curb.
Maybe. But even if your game sold a million copies on the Gamecube... you'd still be wondering if you could have doubled that amount if you had released it for the PS2 or Xbox as well... it's just smart business I guess.Quote:

I know. I was just explaining a bit of the business logic behind a decision like this...
They could of also looked at Viewtiful Joe as a minor risk. Just a niche game to make a few million for their bottom line while a game like Killer 7 has more invested interest behind it from the company. So they'd expand the audience to, potentially, increase the return on a product that they pumped money in.
It's crazy. Unless you meant Viewtiful Joe is multiplatform now too... in which case I did not know.
