Oh, I know what you meant. It just seems, so far, to be a bit closer to Gozu in terms of that kind of thing. Mulholland Drive appeared normal every once in a while, but Gozu's always weird, even when you think you have the plot figured out. And it does a similar thing near the end.
Then again, Gozu is basically a Lynch film with 100% more lactation anyway.

Hmm, so Gozu is not what I thought it was. I can't seem to find much on Gozu. What are some recommended films of his?
Well, Gozu is actually as good a place to start as any (you can find it at Best Buy), and from there, move on to Ichi the Killer is you want a more violent, twisted film, or Audition if you want something a bit closer to Hitchcock (except with a violent, twisted ending). Either way, those are his three best movies, and they're all pretty different so hating one doesn't mean you'll hate the others.
Ah, I see, Gozu is the name of the film. I thought it was the name of a person. Yea, I saw Ichi, and thought it was pretty much trash. Interesting, but trash. I have Audition on my netfilx que and will add Gozu.
Audition is a great movie. However, it will make you terrified of the sound of a Japanese woman saying "Deeper" while she's ontop of you. Watch it, you'll see what I mean.
yeah... well, as you can see this thread talks more about movies than the actual game. I guess that says alot.

I finally beat the game, and I still don't understand some of it. Here is my mini-review anyway:
Things I liked:
-The style of this game is incredible.
-The music and sound effects were cool. I really liked the "blood-switch/kill" noise.
-The Killer 7 had awesome character designs.
-The puzzles, while easy, were pretty inventive.
-The shooting was actually done quite well.
-The different Smiles were a cool additions and added some strategy to the game.
-The boss fights were really fun and well thought out.
Things I didn't know what the fuck:
-The story was crazy as hell; I will be reading a plot analysis on this one for sure.
-The way you moved around wasn't horrible, but made finding your way around confusing even with a map.
Things I didn't like:
-The ghost voices were ear grating and irritating to listen to. I really hated the way it sounded.
-The map function sucked, it didn't even show you were you were currently on the map.
-Lots of grammar mistakes in the translation.
Overall, it was an interesting experience and I think anybody who wants to play it should really consider giving it a rent first.
