I just passed that part on my current run. Take cover behind crates and such (duh) and don't bother firing off a rocket until the helicopter is hovering right over your head. 4 or 5 hits and you're done with that.

If you're pissed now, be warned: There are a few sections during the second half of the game that could easily induce a controller-throwing fiesta -- or worse, perhaps. Then again, you've made it this far -- sounds like you've got the skills to get it done.

I just finished this game yesterday, clocking in at 13+ hours.

Let's just say, the part right BEFORE the very end really really really piss me OFF! STUPID DUMB SOLDIERS!!!! AAARRRGH, I had to replay the whole night just to get through and when I did, it wasn't a sense of accomplishment. Rather, I feel relieved because there was no rhyme or reason why I passed after trying umpteenth time.

Breakdown is a good game, I enjoyed the first person fighting alot (except when you get gangbanged, then you will likely die because you have no peripheral vision). But I thought the uneven difficulty really pisses me off. Some parts just take luck and not skill.

This game is like my ex boyfriend;it has some good parts but the bad makes me remember why I am not with him. I keep on crawling back to Breakdown. Ok, I am giving it ONE more chance today. If it pisses me off anymore my sig is getting changed to a new game! :lol:

It sure seemed that way, and I wasn't above getting frustrated as hell. But having gone back though the game a couple of times now, I am breezing through sections that gave me a lot of trouble on my first run. Even the "T'lan waves" are quite manageable.

I think the initial frustration comes from the constant unease (even panic) that the atmosphere generates, causing the player to play too timidly, stupidly, or both.

On my current run, armed with a ton of combos and a much more aggressive play style, anything near my fists dies...quickly.

ah yes. i finally passed the T'lan waves yesterday and beat the game. i was stuck on that part (tried it like 50 or so times before i beat it) and taking a week off before trying it again wasnt the best idea.

but i got it done!

great game. there are some quite frustrating parts, but nothing unbeatable. it just takes some patience and perserverance. if you're enjoying yourself enough to put in the work. i was. i really had a lot of fun with this game.

this topic helped me make the decision to purchase it (that and the 20$ price tag). thanks!

Finished another run over the weekend. Paid a lot closer attention to the story -- the plot is surprisingly gripping, but I found it hard to follow on the first run since I was so damned panicked.

Good luck animegirl...you'll need it, along with a hefty amount of skill. There are some VERY difficult parts to this game as has been noted for the last 10 pages or so. Again, "slide upper" is your best friend...
