What Cell Phone Do You Carry?

Okay, funny thing happened at work today.

All was quiet in the office, and someone brings me a ups package, which has the car mount I ordered for my phone, so I can use Pandora radio and gps while I drive. I set the mount up on my table, and open pandora but I turn the volume down all the way and mess with the buttons. Everything works fine.

I then load up the crappy trial gps program I use, and it decides to override my sound settings and make it go FULL BLAST in my quiet workspace. Pandora is still running in the background, and it decides that it wants to play Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit. Worse, the volume controls don't work with the gps on.

So, I fumble with the phone, covering the speaker with one hand, trying to switch to pandora with the other, all while Fred Durst is screaming a long list of obsceneties.

Did I mention one of my co workers is a preacher? Worse yet, do they think I'm a Limp Bizkit fan now?

if you are ashamed of what people might think because of what you listen to, then don't listen to it. I get a lot of shit from my friends for some of the stuff i Listen to, but I don't care.

Y'know, there was a time when Limp Bizkit didn't suck, before Fred Durst went douchebag. Hell, I remember having fun at the first Family Values tour because of their awesome stage show, same a year previous at Localpalooza.

Actually I would have liked Limp Bizkit under a different lead singer, I would think.

The preacher didn't say anything, but the other guy here gave me a wtf look.

Hey guys, for those of you with non-Droid android phones the latest update adds turn by turn voice navigation, with spoken street names. Also the maps seem to load faster, but that may just be my wifi connection.

With the dash mount for the phone this makes me very happy.

If anyone has a droid, you can manually update to Android 2.0.1 now or wait for the Over The Air greenlight.

I was impatient so I did it and it works as advertised. Significant update to say the least, it's much faster in just about every way.

I'm switching from AT&T to Verizon on monday, swapping my iPhone 3GS for a Droid.

Bizkit's old guitarist, Wes whatever-his-name-was, was pretty awesome. I was glad when he left the band and I didn't have to hear Durst rapping like a retarded monkey over his playing anymore.
