Go into a VZW store and ask for the over 65 plan. (it supposed to be for old people, but noone checks anyways) Its $29.99 for 200 minutes. Add the PDA package for $30, $10 Txt package will give you unlmited to Verizon customers and 500 a month to out of network people.

$70 a month.

Or, you can get a PDA data only plan+ $10 txt for $59.99. Use google voice or skype for all your calls. ( I think GV uses minutes for incoming though, haven't checked into that)


There is a plan for deaf/hearing impared people you can get 100 minutes + unlmited data and txt for $54.99. But they require documentation for it.


Or, with the regular plan, check to see if the company you work for has a corporate discount.

Y'know, you're absolutely right. I looked at the plans and Sprint's $69 plan is pretty much exactly what I have through Helio.

...AND I had no idea there was an Android phone under Sprint. That HTC Hero looks spiff. Anyone have it?

Though, maybe that HTC Supersonic will come out sooner rather than later... hmmm...

I think the Hero is on the slow end of Android phones, haven't been keeping up with what's coming up for Sprint phones.

I don't want to pay $150 for a 6 month old phone if I can wait a month or two and spend $150 or $200 on something better. I'm stuck with whatever POS I end up with for 2 years.

Going to update when I get home, Verizon and their slow as shit release windows are absurd Can't wait for the revision to the gallery, it's clunky as hell right now..
