Pretty dumb. Youre looking at at least 4-500 for a phone that will see its resale value tank when the 5 comes out. The Verizon version doesn't have the uber high resale value of thee GSM ones.

This is truth. I purchased a droid x around memorial day when my blackberry took a dump. It's a major step up and the latest update is srs bsnss. It will serve me well until 4g comes to the area.

I've been holding out for the iPhone 5 too. I first bought an Eris off craigslist, which served as a good introduction to the OS but really was only good for some modest web browsing. So I just bought an Incredible with a single crack in it for $100 on ebay. Shit works perfect and if the cracked screen eventually gets to me I look forward to attempting to fix it myself. I've been really happy with it so far, loading a PSX emulator on my phone is some futuristic shit.

But now I hear that Verizon's planning to roll out their new horribly priced capped data plans that will go into effect when you upgrade next, which they'll obviously roll out before the iPhone5 is available...

I called verizon as soon as i heard about that. If you already have a data plan you are grandfathered in. Lisa needs braces.
