Yeah, it is kind of ass. I have the original Droid which is stock Android and my son has the Droid 2 Global which I think has a bastardized version of Motoblur and I prefer my phone to his by a long shot. He constantly has issues with it for various reasons. I really don't understand what Motorola was thinking when they chose to use that shitty interface.
I just got the Droid X-2 (motorola united) it's cool so far
I have zero interest in jailbreaking anything.
There was nothing about Frog's phone that didn't "work" without gingerbread. There is an awesome mod community for Android, you trying to frame that any other way is absurd.
Not sure what I've framed it as except a "hassle." Which I think suits. He suggested picking a phone based on what some guys on some message board buried under layers of techno-gibberish happen to support with hacked ROMs you'll have to install after rooting your phone. I'm aware it's not the end of the world and some people probably get a kick out of all the hackery (lord knows I would've ten years ago) but it's definitely a hassle and you're still at the mercy of those guys' attention span for your device. And it's something I just don't have the patience for anymore.
Windows Phone 7 is the shit.
Anyone have a Samsung Captivate that runs on AT&T? Is it any good? Craigslist has one for the cheap and I'm half tempted to pick it up to tinker with it.
