I wish I had nice options for a Verizon phone. Seems like all the good shit is on AT&T now, bah. I'm not looking for anything that fancy but there isn't shit like the Ericsson on this carrier.

LG Prada at Verizon, pls.
Big surprise...
Shit, I don't want an iPhone at all. I had an Ericsson k700i (I think) and loved it. I like the non-flip, non-slide solid-body style phones that they make. I want custom ringtones that sound nice, and some background wallpapers, but that's it on features. I rarely text message and honestly don't use my phone much, but the Motorola I have is irritating me sometimes. I don't like the flip style at all, mostly. I dunno how this LG would do for me since it's a horizontal flip. My contract is in a family plan and it won't expire for over a year, so I'm mainly looking to buy something used and have my account transferred to it.
Fuck all of you. I have T-Mobile.
I wish T-Mobile has a good phone available.
I may get a Blackberry just cuz I really have no options.
The LG VX9900 (enV) can operate almost entirely without opening it--opening is mostly for access to the keyboard, but some stuff will only run on the inside screen (like games). That said, it is real easy to upload custom ringtones and wallpapers and the phone has great speakers to play everything through. BitPim works excellently with the phone, which I love--I want all my future phones to use BitPim.
I was never big into texting, though now that I've got the QWERTY keyboard I use it a lot more. I use texting mostly when I'm in bad reception areas or somewhere noisy where voice doesn't work too well. The keyboard is also great for adding contacts and makes the calendar actually useful since it doesn't take days to input information.
But the keyboard really is the main feature of the VX9900. If you're not into it, there are probably better options. I'd just check to make sure whatever you get is easy to customize with BitPim (or some other third party program). This is a good place for info.
Is the Sidekick not good?
