Its usually cheaper to buy a cheap GSM world phone on ebay, and buy pre-paid sims in the country you end up it, however.

Got an Upstage a week or so ago. It's touchpad is a little touchy, but other than that, it's great.

If the hinge on the Chocolate isn't garbage, I may be interested. I was told to avoid it due to a horrible track record from a customer repair guy I know from Live. He said Chocolates come in all the time for not sliding open anymore.

Ive never seen a Version 1 chocolate not slide anymore, but I have seen them with a ton of issues with the LCD and touch buttons.

This new one looks pretty good, but its still a fingerprint magnet.

So, I've decided it's probably about time to replace this dinosaur of a phone that I've been using the last three years. Ideally I'd like to get an unlocked GSM (I have AT&T/Cingular) phone for ~$100, but I might just cave and get a W810i. Any suggestions?

Anyone see the Google Android software? It's looking pretty robust, and somehow simpler than the iPhone.
