I read about this when it was announced. Although it says to bring your own phone...I would think that there would be have to be some drawbacks or something such as no GSM/TDMA, phone has to be CDMA, etc.

This is my phone for my job

As I use it for everything, my personal phone is just a shitty LG, i have had for a few years.
I'm going to be getting a new phone pretty soon, but I don't know wtf to get.
Anyone use a palm before? I've been looking at one for awhile, but it would be nice to hear from someone who's actually had one. I know the keys are small, but I got to mess around with it briefly in a store, and I just pressed the buttons with my finger nail, which works fine.

Palms suck ass, go for a blackberry instead.
The newer Palm is not as good as last years model, but I don't own one I just heard.
If you have Sprint ...
Get the LG Rumor. My niece has one and loves it.

Unless you need a mini computer.
I'll confirm this. Trying out the Palm while deciding on which phone to get (I decided on a cheap rinky-dink in the mean time) I tried my friends Blackberry and handled the Palm. There's no comparison. The Blackberry is THE smart phone to buy right now (I haven't tried the iPhone for the reason mentioned above).
The only downfall I hear from people with Blackberry's is that it runs their life at gunpoint sometimes.
Only if you're that guy who can't possibly not read every email that comes your way. I personally let them build up until about 100 or so then mass delete. It shows people who email me that i don't give a fuck about them.
I promise you that if you own a palm you will spend 3 hours a day trying to sync the fucker to your desktop.
QFMFT.
Palms are buggy pieces of shit. The OS hasn't evolved since 1998. Hell, Palm themselves have sold the Palm OS off to Access, and licence it back from them.
Ironically, I got a chance to get a Voyager as we had a return of one. Waiting for the jerks at corporate to switch it over to my employee plan.
So Verizon.com has a deal where you get the Samsung Juke (the phone my wife wants) for free with the Voyager.
We worked it out and paying for Sprint for 2 1/2 months and take the deal now versus waiting and paying full 2 year contract price on the Juke both came out nearly the same. She can port her number for $20 if she really wants it when her contact ends with Sprint.
So add another Voyager purchaser to the fold. The Voyager was the best option for me. Only thing I don't get is Excel support, but if I post my lists as html on my webspace, I may be able to use them anyway.
i think google has an excel interface.
