About a month. Its called the "Tour" now offically, BTW.

I'd wait for it. If you got a curve and next month you saw the Tour, you would hate yourself.

What's the best non-smart-phone out there now? I'm realizing Fuck a $30 data plan for something I won't really use too often.

I'm in the same boat: I want a phone with a full keyboard for texting but without a $30/month data plan.

Track down a Nokia 6820. It might be the best straight up phone I've ever had.

Best non smartphones w/ qwerty on Vzw are the Env3, or Env Touch.

Envy Touch doesn't give much of an upgrade from the Voyager.

Its a lot faster and the menus are sleeker. Touch Screen more responsive IMHO as well.

Plus its not as big or as heavy.

I cracked and preordered a 16GB iPhone 3G S. I get a nice discount on the data plan thanks to my employer, and my contract had been up for months. I needed a new phone badly. Ironically, what sealed the deal was the announcement of the Tom Tom GPS app, since I was also in the market for a stand-alone GPS that would have cost about the same as the iPhone.
