I... I THINK I DO.
I wasn't sure if you could just VOIP that shit through your data connection for outgoing calls. APPARENTLY NOT?

Just picked up a blackberry curve, to those who have a bb, recommend some good free apps sites please!
If you have the data plan KoF, slacker radio is pretty rad. Also, google maps.
I got data plan. slacker radio?
I got a Sprint Reclaim. It's nice.
I've never sent a text message before.
One nice thing about the EnV Touch- previously, with Verizon phones, you had to do annoying shit to load your own custom ringtones. Like, with the Voyager, you had to load the MP3s on the micro SD card and email them to your phone before you could save and assign them as actual ringtones. You know, just bullshit Verizon pulled to try and force you to buy tones from their shitty Get It Now service. However, on the Touch, I noticed that once you load the MP3s on the micro SD card, you can set them as ringtones and alerts right away without having to email them or anything. I guess Verizon finally pulled their head out of their ass.
Wildkat, any experience with the new HTC phone that just hit Verizon this week? It's got WinMo 6.5 underneith the Touch Flow 3D UI. It's like $200 on contract and looks pretty sweet. The HTC HD2 is supposed to come out early 2010 but I don't know if I can wait that long/if it's worth it.
after close to 2 months with my new phone, the HTC Hero, here's my impressions.
+ capacitive touch screen is so responsive, and the teflon coating of the backcover makes the phone (which is white) stain free. also the touch screen has a nice protective coating to it, finger smudges wipe away easily.
+ 3.5mm headphone jack, G1 and the MyTouch doesn't have this
+ multi-touch is an absolute godsend.
+ htc software keyboard is awesome. Obviously it's no physical qwerty kb, but damn, this is where the multi-touch absolutely shines.
I can type just as fast if not faster thanks to the auto-correct option. Haptic feedback makes typing on the software touch keyboard a pleasure.
+ android is an amazing os, love the android market and the sense user interface makes everything a lot more practical, love it.
+ web browsing kicks a donkeys asshole, pinch zoom makes life so much easier, cut and paste is a lifesaver and you can open up to three web browsers at once.
+ handles Flash better than every phone out there not named Nokia
+ multi-tasking FTW, in any time of the day, I'll have 2 web browsers, music playing in the background, and gchat open
+ last but not least. Batter life is fucking amazing. On a full charge, this phone lasts close to 15 hours on HEAVY usage. On normal usage, this phone lasts two-three days on single charge. Amazing shit.
- 5 mp camera is great in daylight, so bad in low light situations, no flash either.
- phone can get a little laggy at times. The hardware is almost identical to the G1 and the MyTouch, but the Hero has about 100 more mbs of RAM or ROM, I forget which.
- sometimes I accidentally call someone because my finger brushed against the touch screen
can't wait for Android + Snapdragon. Is going to be the most perfect phone ever.
