Considering that XP and IE won't be updated until 2005, buying a Mac would be a decent move -- especially when a G5 loaded with Panther will be around $2000.

Yeah... thats an accessable price. :wtf:
for those who have the funds, get a f'in Macintosh.
Oh great. Another thread with Mac lovers bitching about how much PCs and Windows suck.
Or you can get Mandrake Linux. Ive been using it for a few months now, and it hasn't crashed on me once. Both Windows and Mac based computers have.....linux is great and free. You have nothing to lose :)
Im not even a Mac user... Windows is trash though. As of the moment, I have two taskbars because for some reason Windows decided to split up my taskbar when I booted up and I cant do anything to fix it except, I dunno, reformat my damn computer. And if you need more proof of Windows' suckiness, just look at the SQL Slammer, SoBig, Blaster, and who knows what other viruses are ravaging the internet. And all of these viruses came out AFTER Microsoft announced their "initiative" to lockdown Windows and increase security. And many of these viruses, I know Slammer did it, use buffer overflows, which are the most BASIC way to write a virus or hack... the fact that that was still in the XP code even after Microsoft's supposed lockdown is... well its really funny.Quote:

I mean this isn't Equilibrium we're talking about here, where I can say its a pile of crap and you disagree and well thats it... it's pretty much as close as you can get to a fact that Windows is a POS. And in fact if you skim this article, you can learn about how dangerous it can be for governments and other sensitive networks to grow increasingly reliant on the buggy, overly complex software that MS puts out.
Please tell me again how awesome Devil May Cry is and how gay Mario has gotten.Quote:
