BACK ON TOPIC THOUGH...

I picked up The Orange Box used at Gamestop two days ago. I went against my better judgement by picking up a used game for $54.99, but I really just wanted to play Half-Life 2. After leaving the store, I walked a block to the Best Buy and they had it on sale for $39.99. I'm glad Gamestop still has that one week return policy...

Either way though, for $39.99 or $54.99, Half-Life 2 is still one of the best FPS titles on the market three years after its release. I'm actually one of the weird ones who might like Doom 3 better though. :blank:

I tried "Portal" for about 15 minutes and I couldn't wrap my little brain around what the hell I was supposed to be doing. So, at the moment, I don't really understand the hype behind "Portal." I'm sure I'll get the hang of it if I give it a second chance though :)

For all the Gamefaqs people who are here at the moment as well:

I played through over half of Half-Life 2 on the original Xbox, and then I sold it when I heard a 360 version would be coming out. Now, for some odd reason, I am stuck on this stupid part in Ravenholme that I can't get passed. I know I passed this part two years ago, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. HELP!!

Did anybody like the vehicle segiments because I did, they offered a nice change of pace IMO

I've never played Episode 1 or Episode 2, so I can't take those games into consideration. However, I just finished the "boat" portion on Half-Life 2 and I found it enjoyable for about 20 minutes. Its just too bad that they drag that part out for about 2 hours of gameplay time. Basically, I found it to be a nice change of pace until it actually started setting the pace for the game. Vehicle segments should be short and sweet, not long and dragged out.

I think the vehicle segiments are ment to make the game seem more real, movies are better at using this princible than games will ever be able to do.

I think I understand what you're trying to say. The vehicle segments do seem realistic, but you still have a lot of work to do on your grammar.

You can either eliminate the "with" in your first sentence altogether. Or, you can leave the "with" and insert a comma before "with" and after "segments." If you add the commas, you will have to majorly restructure your first sentence. This should really be seperated into two sentences anyways, and you have at least three spelling errors.

I'm not trying to be a jerk about this. However, like others have said, you should really try to make sure your posts are free of spelling and grammar errors when you post here.
