Enough tears to fill an ocean just streamed down my face.
It doesnt even look like her. Costume design is bad. I just hope that it wont be a finalized version.
o. m. g.
Looks like it's got all the elements of a succesful comic adaptation...chips, dip, sex and whips.
Wait. Catwoman isn't supposed to be black!
...
The costume's pretty bad, too!
hmmmm....well she does look hot.
*looks again* ... God, It gets worse every time.
Well, First Catwoman was black.Quote:

She's hot, but why, why do this???
I don't think the costume is the finished product. If it is in its beginning stages, its a bad fucking start.Quote:

Uggg-leee!
well her costume better have nipples...
Gah! She's hot and all..... but not in that outfit! That's the worst adaptation I've seen in quite a long time.
Halle Berry sucks. She neither impresses me with her looks or her acting ability.
Well, okay, she's pretty hot. But otherwise, she sucks. That costume is shit.
is this for the one with christian bale? if so, any hope i had just got squashed
Catwoman is a stand alone movie from the Batman one.
What's the point if she isn't a cat burguler?
Before I saw this, I would have said its impossible to make Halle Berry look bad...
Which was first, actress or comic?Quote:

She could be tan of course, but otherwise a black catwomen she sure as hell ain't!
First Harvey Dent, then Kingping. Does hollywood know how to hire people who are colorblind or what!
He means Ertha Kitt, the black chick that was Catwoman on the Batman TV show, I assume.Quote:

That is pretty bad. Looks like she belongs in a low-end strip joint and even then I wouldn't give her any money.
...looks like its gonna be a comedy...
I hope to God that's photoshopped!
She's screwing up my X-Men movies, and now she's got to screw up my Batman movies, too?! WTF?!
Ah, gotcha. Thumbs up!Quote:

Catwoman wasn't black in Year One. So far as I know, there has never been a black catwoman in the Batman comic or what not.
I'll post it again from AICN

Best AICN picture ever.
Not in the comic, MVS, but in the Adam West live action show. She was the worst of the three Cat Women.
That looks absolutely horrible, if it's real. Didn't she get all haughty after X2 and whine about being "reduced to super hero films" or something?
Nice Weird Science reference. :)Quote:

First plot description for this film:
"There's also an official synopsis out which reveals a tiny bit more about the plot, specifically the transformation element - "Patience Price, a mild mannered graphic artist, is murdered in order to keep her silent about an accidental discovery she made. An ancient myth is played out, when an Egyptian Mao cat, indebted to Patience for saving her it's own life, breathes life back into the young woman. Patience is reborn with an independent attitude, carefree behavior and the heightened senses of a cat. Now she must investigate the circumstances behind her murder and learn to accept both parts of herself". "
so in otherwords, this will have nothing to do with either the batman comics, nor her origin from batman returns?Quote:

How can it be humanly possible for someone to come up with an idea this bad? I mean really.
And yeah, Harry is a giant scary blob of goo.

The only one that slides on this is Blade, belive me he was the one that needed hollywood, however the others are being destroyed by it.
Really man, what's so fucking hard about making the costume from her current design?Quote:

Unmasked Berry can still pass for it with the short hair and all.

Masked.
This thing is going to suck wang. I hope it bombs. I will not be contributing to it's box office gross, that's for damn sure.
Because Will, that design just isn't terrible enough for Hollywood.
She would have been better off in a Barb Wire sequel.

She's as black as Bruce Wayne. Take that as you will.

:wtf:
What was the directors and costume designers thinking?
I don't know. It could be good for what it is: a retelling of the story.
But from what I heard, it's like a combination of the origin from Batman Returns with a new woman, new city, new everything else.
I guess if you just pretend that this happened independent (or maybe after) the original Catwoman, this movie shouldn't ruin the mythos or anything like that.
I do agree, however, that that costume simply has to go.
http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stori...0/20/berry.jpg
Here's another publicity photo. The pose is a bit cooler but the costume still sucks ass.
Lots of skin, and Berry is sexy, but costume sucks. No question about it.
My stomach just churned, really...
Ertha Kitt was the second Catwoman.
Julie Newmar was the first Catwoman. Lee Meriwether played her in Batman: The Movie.
Mind numbingly awful...
I'm... just speechless.
JM
Why even call the movie "Catwoman" if they aren't going to use the origin, backstory, characters or costume? Just call it Leatherslut or some shit and save a bundle in licensing.
the license is all it is really, they're not honering this film because all they see are dollar signs and their bottom line.
Bastardization? You betcha!
What a fucking atrocity that costume is. I'm feeling queasy. :yuck: Back to the drawing board!
I hate to break this to you, but no one who matters cares about comic books. In order for fans to protest at the studio, they'd have to leave the house. See where I'm going?Quote:

That's gotta be fake.
And, for all those debating about wehther or not Catwoman was black, STFU. Kingpin wasn't black in the comics, but MCD did a great job in the Daredevil movie.
Can't argue there. At first I was like, WTF, but after seeing Daredevil I couldn't picture anyone else playing him.Quote:

In this case it shouldn't even matter, as for the purposes of this storyline, she isn't even the real Catwoman, Selena Kyle.Quote:

I hope the movie makes a total of $500 worldwide.
Halle Berry ain't even that dark. I don't see the bid deal. Aside from which, as has been said, it's a different catwonan.Quote:

Some pics from the movie set. Halle's in a leather outfit riding a motorcycle. Interesting, but I'm really depressed as I just found out that Ashley Judd originally was cast to play Catwoman but turned it down. Damn, I love Ashley.

Lee Meriwether was really f'n hot in that movie. :)Quote:

Hollywood continues to ruin all comic book characters.
How the hell did she say yes to this role??? I never found Halle Berry excessively hot, more glamorous and gorgeous in a Hollywood kinda way. Good looking but nothing over the top... This is just nasty.
Espically after she bitched about playing Storm and hating comic book roles, or some horse shit like that.Quote:

I saw that footage on the news two days ago... it's horrible. The costume looks like someone designer it fresh out of high school...
I really miss Michelle Pfeiffer already.
The trailer is up here http://www.blackfilm.com/20040430/fe...ktime_hi.shtml
Watch it and laugh.
Later tonight I definately will.
Yeah. That's pretty damn bad.
Jesus, how do these movies even get made?
Jada Pinkett-Smith > Halle Berry
Regardless the costume wouldn't have helped either one. Fire that designer prz, kkthx.
Oh man this looks funny.
Indeed it does. While I like the directors previous film (French Fantasy/Mystery/Thriller Vidocq), I think this will be pretty bad, but visually stylish.
Ughhh,,, This goddamn thing better not kill any of the hype for the new Batman movie.
This no talent whore needs to retire ASAP.
I didnt know it was coming out this summer. I thought they wanted it as Fall release.
With a little luck, after this movie hits theaters she may have to.Quote:

I call it now, worst movie of 2004
I've seen the trailer twice now. I've been puzzled and disappointed twice now.
Saw it today.
I did not think that a comic movie could look worse than Batman And Robin.
I was wrong.
