Im pretty sure they're gonna have Pedro for Game 7. And game 7 is set for Thursday - Wakefield can't pitch on two days rest I think... even if the knuckleball is very easy on your arm.
I expect to see him in relief... if the Red Sox have a chance to clinch the series, expect that theyll put him out there to seal the deal. One thing's for sure, though, he has totally psyched out the Yanks and may - may have given the Sox just the cowboy upping they need to finish off this series. That was a huge, huge win.
p.s. yes this was a very biased analysis... not only do I hate the Yanks as a Mets fan but the BoSox were my favorite AL team when I was a young'un, so Im really rooting for them... but deep deep in the bottom of my heart I believe this was a huge win for the Red Sox, I honestly thought that the Yanks stole a lot of momentum by winning game 3 (which was so heated) and could've gutted the Sox today, but Boston has just gotten it back.

Wakefield can pitch on no days rest. He can pitch every day if they need him to. The problem isn't his arm...it's that the Yankee hitters will figure him out sooner or later, or he won't have his best stuff everyday.

Ironic; just sunday afternoon on the way to dinner I was thanking my parents for living on the east coast. I would never be able to wake up at 10AM to watch football.
-
What the hell is this "Cowboy upping" crap and where the hell did it come from?

Another good game.
Pitching has been great in this series.
I don't understand the Sox starting Burkett tomorrow. It seems you'd stick Pedro in there on 3 days rest, then let Wakefield pitch game 7 if they get there.
-
I'm not complaining. :p
As much as I want to say the series is over, it's never a definite with the Sox...although Pettite vs Burkett..
-
I was at school missed the game =(
Cub, Marlin game is gonna be intresting.
-
I think the theory behind starting Burkett is to have Pedro free for Game 7.
But with Burkett starting, there is no Game 7.
Oh well, it would have been nice to see the Red Sox in the WS. Maybe next year they shall get there.

If you want to be considered the best pitcher in baseball, Pedro should demand the ball when the season is on the line.

Oh man, Chcago's gonna have a goat. crazy game.
