It wasn't a racist comment. All he said was that he believed McNabb to be as prominently featured in sporting news not because of his skills, which are average, but because he is something different from the status quo.
While I may not agree (McNabb kicks ass), I don't see how this is a racist comment, unless the usage of the word "black" makes it so. He didn't say that McNabb isn't a good quarterback because he's black, and black people will never do well as quarterbacks. THAT is being racist.
Whenever there's a black person in a predominantly white profession, is he not scrutinized far more thoroughly than his peers? If anything, he's pointing out that the media is racist.
Fuck, just because he said "black" doesn't mean it was a racist comment. Learn to tell the difference and save yourself and others some aggravation.
