The final hurdles were removed and Saddam co operated fully, gave everyone instructions that UN people were free to do whatever they want and thus cleared the final hurdle about a month before the war started, its documented go look it up.

Wrong. You go look it up. Saddam never removed all the hurdles and your stable boy, Blix, said as much on numerous occassions. Making history want you want it to be and what it actually is are two different things, it might behoove you to learn the difference.

So showing footage of soldiers face pushed down in the dirt, showing footage of people getting shot and footage of doors being smashed in and an innocnt family cowering in fear is alright, or the detainees chained in the cargo area of a b52 with bags over their heads etcetera is all fine?

I watched coverage of the war, nightly, for HOURS on end (Foxnews/CNN/MSNBC) and none of them showed the stufff you're referring to. Perhaps, in Belgium, the coverage was different. Here, they didn't show much of anything with any Iraqi soldiers or civilians and what they DID show was not of remotely the same caliber as what was shown on Al-Jazeera. Not even close, budddy.

Anyway, this is turning into a point/counterpoint thread and not a community thread. Might be time to cool it for a bit.

I saw it. I don't think they ever showed any faces, but they did show soldiers leading prisoners around with bags on their heads like some kind of cartel. At least, we knew who the U.S. prisoners were. It would suck to be an Iraqi mother and not know anything about where your child is. I'd rather know my child was still alive then know that they were MIA.

There's a lot of stuff that doesn't get shown on US TV, but makes it everywhere else. US news is very heavily censored.

Not that I've been paying attention to Iraq war footage, mind, so don't expect me to argue one way or another with you guys about it.

Ali makes Saddam sound like an upstanding guy who was just bullied around. Hmmm...I wonder if he pets kitties everyday too? That would make him the definition of innocence.
