O.k, has it been a week already? I made this in honor of Reno's Sword (yeah, right). I hope he dunz mindz cuz... well, just cuzZ! :link: My inner desires manifest 'emselves into my funnies... To be quite blunt, I want that friggin sword. Shudd've gone to E3, man...

Well, at least I get to show what I'm working on. These are taken with my digicam since my scanner's still kaput-to. I'm planning on inking them with Illustrator 10 (still trying to get used to it, tho').

Ivy used to intimidate me with her outfit... too many minute details to remember. But I just recently bought her 'action' figure (McFlarene Toys). Her face sucks but the rest of her was well-scuplted. Plus, it's relatively cheap. The model's been very helpful so far and I've already reserved a resin of Ayame (another intimidating character to draw for me... don't know why, tho').

Evil Chun Li not so evil-looking. Gotta change that...

The way her outfit clings to her boobs is sexier than her being topless. Or maybe not. Should I...?

P.S. From now on all my female subjects will have bigger boobs. I've been looking back at some of my older works and realized that the majority of my girls have relatively small boobs. I won't have other drawings making fun of my girls' small boobs! Nothing's too good for my girls! Thus, their boobeth shalth be biggerth!!

I like the bottom Ivy the best, and one's drawing cannot make fun of yours for having small boobs.. thats for certian.

if it wasnt for Chun-Li's face I think I like that one the best. Also, I think you should just leave the Chun-Li one alone or if you are going to ink it anyway, you should include the sketchy lines the pic already has.

ShingO! Where've you been, man? That Chun Li pic has a number of problems. For one, methinks the head is too big :p.

For the boobs to be considered large the boobs need to be bigger than their head which is the scientific standard for which anime girls are automatically inducted into large breasted category. :D

And eeer... them boobs still not big enough? Well, I don't want em to be 'haha'-big, but I think it wouldn't hurt to add a few more pounds to em'.... Thus, I shalth be making em'th BIGGERTH!!

Know when to say when man! If you make 'em too big they just make things look grotesque and really ridiculous. While they are big the way you have them now, I say they fit. And keep Ivy covered, looks better that way. That said, great work.

Slick rick work man. I think you can tone down the boobs some cause it can get out of hand and look cheesy. Your drawing and anatomy skill is good, but in some of the pics your heads need to be bigger. If you are going for the anime look don't mind me cause the hands seem large. All in all very good work.

I'm only 75% asleep now (but I'm slacking off on something which more than makes up for it) so time for actual comments. Overall, I love all the images and think they're huge improvements over the last art you posted here, which were already very good. I especially like how full the figures seem in the unique poses you put them in. Reminds me a lot of classical sculptures. Like you can reach out and feel the roundness of them... though it could just be me fantisizing. :p

Things that seem like minor flaws to my eyes:

Chun-li's head definitely needs to shrink down 10% percent or so. Her nose looks a bit odd too, like the bottom line should be a little less concave (or is it convex? I always get those two mixed up). Her ear seems tiny in propotion to the way you have the head now. There's also something funky going on with her final two fingers on the exposed hand. Her boob might be just a bit too big for Chunny (with her it's always been about the thighs) and shouldn't the second boob be making a slight appearance from this angle?

The first Ivy's head actually looks a bit too small as do the lower portions of her legs, though the latter might be just because of the way it was scanned. I can see no other problems with this image... though it could be because my eyes are locked on her cleavage. :blank:

The second Ivy's eye seems too small, though because she's squinting it's a bit hard to tell. Again the overall head might be too small. There also seems to be something odd with her torso, but it's hard for me to tell since I can't fit the entire image on this screen at once, though I think she would need a ciropractor after holding that pose for very long.

Third Ivy is my favorite of this group. Her face came out great and the foreshortening with the pose looks perfect to me... but her right breast is too small! How could you possibly miss such an important detail?! :D

Can't wait to see the final inked versions when you get around to it.

Saigon, Rumpy - Don't worry, guys, I won't overdo the boobs. But I do sometimes need to break away from the norm. Y'know, break my regular habits so I cold be more versatile.

BTW, I think I know why I made Ivy's head a bit small. Yep. Her breasts again. Y'see, I usually start with the head, then torso/breasts, waist/legs, and then the arms/hands. With her breasts being bigger than I usually draw 'em, I drew her waist/legs/mid-section to 'fit' in with the bigger boobs. Next time I'll draw just the torso first and then the rest, the boobs being last.

That comic is hilarious. The poses are great, but I love the expressions even more. Taki looks really pissed off while Ivy is contrasted being bored and indifferent. As for the subject matter, it's funny because it's true. :lol:

My only critique would be both of their left arms probably should be shown more. In this pose I think you'd be able to see more of Ivy's just behind her body while should be able to see Ivy's left forearm near her right. From the numerous close up camera pans that SC liked to do, I think Taki's butt looks very accurate. :p

That's so true!!My friend once commented that it's probably posibble for someone to do a texture swap on Taki and have her be The Naked Ninja.(Kinda like the case with the DOA's girls.)

Mr. Dandy...that's certainly an interesting take on the whole thing...I was expecting her to have a drill arm, but, your version is pretty evil too.

I like how her right breast's Spider Sense is tingling.




...also, looks like you scan your pencils in, and then do some touch up in PS...it's a nice effect, since they don't lose their hand-drawn, sketchy look, but still get some nice contrast and sharp highlights.

I tend to raise eyebrows alot these days :p.

And that's the best I can do with my digicam. I'm trying a 'Quantity over Quality' angle. Like what Sony's doing with its PSs. (I really shouldn't complain since my PS2's still working fine but 2/3 of my friends' PS2s went kaput so...).

That's o.k. I cum from the H scene/community and we H-artists generally draw what we want (almost). It's a good habit but perhaps it's spoiled me somewhat.

I can actually buy that trick at my local magic shop, endoresed by Harry himself, but I prefer the close up kind to on the stage. And I have been out of practice anyway.
