Ok, I know I'm a bit late, but what's the general consensus around here on Xenosaga and Kingdom Hearts? I've been busy playin some other RPG's as of late and am now thinking about purchasing these two. Mediocre? Awesome?? tell me!!

Xenosaga is mediocre. Interesting story, mediocre characters, interesting but slow and tedious battle system. It is unfortunately eclipsed by its spiritual predecessor. DO NOT expect another Xenogears and you should be fine.
Kingdom Hearts is slightly above average, but made great by its familiar characters. Fix the camera and take out the Gummi ship and I'm there for the sequel.
....I dont think I need to say anything about Kingdom Hearts. Then of course, I hate RPGs so I like it for all the Disney and because Sora is too cool for school.
I fell asleep within the first 5 minutes of Xenosaga. Whoo!

I loved Kingdom Hearts, even though I really don't like Disney that much.
I played Xenosaga for about five hours, and I have very little desire to ever play it again.
Kingdom Hearts good, Xenosaga, bad. well, mediocre.
i'd reiterate this, except that with a positive spin: i detested xenogears, and i really enjoyed xenosaga. clearly, one's milage may vary. =)Quote:

Honestly, though, I completely HATED 'gears the first time I played through it. I posted shit about it up and down the board. It was great.
Then I replayed it... it was almost like I'd skipped a lot of text the last time. The story was great, the characters were great, the battles were fun... I dunno. I love it now. Maybe the next time I try to beat 'saga, I'll like it as much. Who knows?
Personally I enjoyed the both of them... although KH's camera was controlled by a spastic monkey on crack cocaine. :(
