Mode7, I've thought that whoever did it deserves to be held accountable, however, by that same token, it could have been an accident, simply a case of human error. In which case, something as severe as a job loss (might as well go with the worst case scenario here) isn't warranted. However, if it was done with malice, and done on purpose, then yes, the person who put the games in the package deserves a suitable punishment, although I hope that isn't the case.

Mindfield, look at it this way: That company is going to lose whatever the cost of 11 copies of Soul Calibur 2 is. If SC2 is 59.99, that's 660 bucks. It's the same as if someone walked into their store, paid for a copy, and walked out with 11 others. That may not be a lot in the long run of a company, but that's an employee's paycheck. In fact, that employee who mis-packed your surprise will probably be fired even IF you send that box back. But that's not justification to keep the extras, man.

Actually, it's a nicely specious thought, that. Next time I fuck up royally, I think I'll blame the lot of it on someone else sleeping through their karmic watch. Score!
