exactly...I bought a copy of space adventure years ago, because I had never seen it before that day...have never really checked into the value, since it really isn't that great of a game...Quote:

WOW...maybe Ebay needs my copy :)
That's basically what I was going to add to this thread... this game's prices destroy RS and PDS.Quote:

I was once on the cusp of trading my Biohazard LE DC system for two unopened Sapphires. Thankfully just before I was gonna send the guy the DC a report came out on Videogameimports.com saying how professional-grade copies of Sapphire were making their way around. Sure enough, upon CAREFUL examination, my two turned out to be pirated copies and I was able to back out of the deal. I think the guy I was trading with was duped into buying them into whomever he got them from previously.
More that should be added to the overpriced list:
Eliminate Down (Mega Drive): Has probably supplanted or at least equaled Alien Soldier as most expensive MD import. By all reports a somewhat above-average shmup at best, and probably not worth nearly the $150-200 it goes for.
Magical Chase (Turbo Grafix 16): To date, not buying it for $20 when I worked at Babbage's back in '96 was the biggest gaming flub I've ever made. I had no f-ing idea the thing would be worth $400+ complete nowadays and usually go for such a mind-implodingly insane price the 2-4 times it shows up a year on eBay.
RANDOM :
You know, the director of Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga worked on Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru.
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Dragonball GT yet. Now there's an overpriced piece of trash if I've ever seen one! I once Ebayed a disk-only copy of the game for over a hundred bucks.
Keio Flying Squadron for Sega CD is another excellent game that's kind of pricy usually. The PAL version's pretty cheap, though.
Coryoon for PCE is often really expensive too, but it is a very good game.
Hyper Duel always seemed to go for crazy prices, but the game itself never seemed "all that" to me. I got a sealed one from Pacrappa a couple of years back, and now I wish I hadn't opened it! I probably only played the thing 5 or 6 times before trading it off.
Anyone got any predictions on what games of the curent gen will become expensive? Shooters seems an easy victim but outside of that?
Cubivore for GCN seems likely. The U.S. print run was only like 5,000 or so.
One of the Sega basketball games for GCN gets around $80 now. It was seemingly also released in tiny numbers for whatever reason.
Some folks think ZooCube might be rare. Dunno.
How about that Universal Theme Park thing? I don't think I've ever seen it in a store.
Disgaea will be expensive in the future... I guarantee it. Also the strategy guide for it will be uber expensive as well... Double Jump did a miniscule pressing of it, and it got pretty poor distribution as well.
