Crimson Skies (XBox)

If I'm not going to have Xbox Live for the immediately foreseeable future, is Crimson Skies worth purchasing simply for the single player aspect? Or would I just be better off waiting until I picked up a Live Kit sometime down the line?

The game is a damned blast. I had a great time playing with Nigel Saturday night. I think Evilmog was in a couple of those games too, he did really well.

Hey JM, what do you think of the new sig? Regardless of the major ass kicking I took Saturday night, it was cool as hell. I played in a game or two with Evilmog before I caught up with JM and no one could hear me when I spoke so I bailed. He did manage to catch up to us later though. It was cool catching up with TNLers again. I haven't seen any of you on since back in the Mech Assault days.

You've been talking about the Live aspect for months, and now that it's arrived, you're going to limit yourself to the 1P game -- maybe? Alright. Here's the scoop: The single player game is very solid, but it simply pales in comparison to the Live game. I played a couple hours of the single player game and haven't given a thought since I've played about 50 consecutive Live games.

With this, Top Spin, Rainbow Six, and bunch of others, just go get the Live kit and be done with it. You'll have fun, don't worry. You'll then be set for Halo 2 and the be-all-end-all ... TNL CLAN STEEL BATTALION!!! ... a game you already don't care for. Sweet.
