well, if that's true, that must be pretty depressing for fans that were looking forward to the game. well, maybe they'll make 2 games. who knows.

well, hopefully with this remake, they make it a good game this time.

I fail to see anywhere in that thing where it says that PDZ is just a remake of PD. Anyways, a PD remake on the Xbox would be great. Imagine, multi-player without the constant slowdown...

Honestly, I'm not dissapointed in this. As much as I liked Perfect Dark back in the Day, I always wanted to see an updated version that runs at a smooth 60fps with online play.

I would've rather had a new Conker though.

lucas get off jeremy's ass. i read it the same way he did. nowhere in your quote does it say the Perfect Dark remake is replacing Perfect Dark Zero. actually Zero isnt mentioned ANYWHERE in your quote. your quote says ALSO PLANNING....not "PD0 is a remake of the original game".

My fault for asuming people remember my posts.

I've played Battletoads to the point where I had every level memorized. I don't think I can clear it without continuing anymore, but I can easily just pick up and beat it. One of the top 5 NES games of all time.

Hmm... I'm taking this "news" with a grain of salt. I think Gamespot made a slight error on this one. And I agree that if there is a remake, it probably won't be Perfect Dark Zero. That'd be a poor name for a remake methinks.

Jeremy and Dyne are both right...it doesn't say PD0 is a remake, the remake easily could be inaddition to PD0...Rare does need to start popping out some money makers to fend of the shareholders i'm sure.

Normally, I loathe remakes but a 60fps hi-rez Perfect Dark would be Godly. It'll be a great chance for more people to experience this awesome FPS without all the technical shortcomings of the N64.

And wouldn't Xbox Live support be to die for? :)

Wasn't Conker for Xbox supposed to have the original included? I'm not sure if they changed that. If not, why would they release it seperately?

It is just a remake of the original, there's no new Conker coming.

And I'd much rather see a PD remake than a shitty anime looking Perfect Dark Gear Solid.

Yea, it's Conker's Bad Fur Day: Live (in that its Xbox Live compatible) and Uncut (in that it has stuff that Nintendo made them take out of the first one).

Apparently no one here remembers that Rare stated a while back that Perfect Dark Zero wouldn't see the light of day till 2006.

This remake is NOT PDZ, it's a remake.

End of discussion.

Not to mention that Zero was announced for way later than 2004. The remake is in addition to and not instead of Zero...that's the only way I can see reading the quote.
