Staten Island Ferry crashed
I can't find any sites with the news yet, but this is the first I've ever heard of this happening in recent years.
Supposedly the winds were pushing the boat around in the water, so much that it threw the boat off-course and into a concrete dock, which riped into the right side of the boat, shredding the bottom of its three floors open like a can opener. Some people have lost limbs, if not outright died.
It's inconceivable that these huge boats could be moved by winds, as I ride that thing all the time, and it's always pretty stable. I hope it wasn't the captain's negligence or anything like that.
More news as it develops.
