could turn out to be good. looks alright. but yeah, if it's a beat em up, it really just comes down to how staisfying it is to beat people up.
should be good though.

I just looked at the Magicbox stuff on this, looks kinda lame if you ask me. Maybe its just the fact that I think Nina is such a uninteresting character. The combat system does not sound all that great either. Beat em' ups are only fun when extremely arcady in my opinion.
I don't like it when they try to add so much "depth" to a beat em' up, leave the complicate fighting engine for the Complicated Fighting game.
I really hated Namcos last Beat Em Up effort 'Dead to Rights' so I don't really know what to expect with this game.
I love Namco and all, but they have been kinda strange latly.
If they want people to support this, they should put it in arcades and add 2-player support.
oh yeah, the beat-em-up genre is dead, so I guess that don't interest anybody. Figures!
Still is fucking awesome like but I feel let down by Namco you know what I mean? Tekken 4, Time Crisis 3 and Soul Calibur 2 were a let down despite these being their biggest franchises. I still keep an open mind but they're underachieving.Quote:

using shoulder buttons in a beat-em-up = not fun to play.

This game just seems to be a giant Rise to Honor clone(Analog fighting...) with Nina as a chucked in main char. If RtH ends up being good, I guess one could assume this will be around the same quality.
Am I the only one that enjoyed Dead to Rights? I thought it was good for what it was (a Max Payne clone). I'm not a fan of the Tekken series except for the mini games, and this just seems like a more elaborate Tekken Force. As I stated in an earlier post, I'm not looking forward to a game that has you use the shoulder buttons while aiming with the right analog stick. Oh well, Namco will learn (unless too many Joe Gamers pick it up), but no one is forcing me to buy it.
