I saw this posted at XenGamers and I thought people here might find it interesting.

It would have been better if included more games that have aged well and didn't include crap games like E.T. but it was still a fun read.

Yeah that's what I thought when I read it as well I wouldn't be suprised if the kids just said "this is gay" over and over for each game so the editor's had to make up the majority of comments
They ran this article in last months EGM. There is a large picture on there that has some of the other games they played. These were not the only ones.
I think that they wanted this article to be funny. I knew that comparing one game to GTA3 would come up and it did. This was all just a spoof to make kids look stupid if you ask me.
I think of this more as like when your getting interviewed by someone who wants you to look bad and then butchers it so that you make yourself sound bad.
I think that some of these kids were making jokes about some of these things and EGM make it look serious.
None the less Tetris and Donkey Kong are the only games that they talked about that were good at one point (I hate Pitfall STFU). I mean seriously E.T. for atari is considered one of the worst games ever, why would kids suddenly like it now?
None the less I get these mags for free so it is not like I waste money on them.

The clips aren't doctored. According to Crispin, the only editing that took place with the quotes was for swearing. GAF tried to call him on it and all he said in reply was "I have the recordings on minidisc".
One point they brought up which I also thought; the picture for the article shows Super Metroid hooked up on the TV but there weren't comments for it. I wonder why.
