I went Orlando this past summer and people that work in the parking lots were using them. Some workers inside Magic Kingdom that sell those light up things or those stuff that you have no need for on the Segways. Its pretty cool.

Like he sits there and makes fun of gyroscopes and scientists and such like their all just a bunch of retarded geeks. Oooh, that’s real funny. Just because he doesn’t understand/find fascinating the technology behind the Segway doesn't mean a rant on it is funny. Granted I think the Segway is still a pretty silly idea, but let’s get serious for a minute here, making fun of it is pretty old hat by now. It took him this long to think of a third wheel joke?

I dunno, I poked around his site and there's some hilarious shit on there. The Segway piece isn't nearly the best humor on there. Thanks for the link. =D

Its not that he is realy making fun of science and gyroscopes and such;
Its the manner in which the technology is being used. The segway uses all that major technology to balance someone. The major patents and such, all of the work that a couple of scientists have worked on for Jeebus knows how long and nearly the same effect can be achieved with a third wheel. Sure he comes off as an arrogant bastard, but he has a point doesnt he. :nod:

No because like other people said the third wheel will limit what the thing can do quite a bit.

The fact is that the Segway is a pretty neat piece of engineering, sure its overpriced and Dean Kamen is an arrogant cack but its a pretty nice device... nobody's gonna redesign cities to take advantage of it but its pretty cool.

But balance is what an gyroscope is designed to be used for! Seriously, its only purpose is to maintain equalibrium of something.
