I think if you look at Maddox, I don't think he's trying to inform anyone, he's just being an ass and making fun of stuff. Some of the stuff he says isn't very funny, but then again, I don't think he's trying to be serious about any of it.

There isn't really much of a purpose. The only really impressive part is in the engineering. It was just a novel idea that they thought would really catch on, but numerous factors (mainly the price) made the whole venture flop.

I disagree. Obviously, there are many forms of humor and there may be styles that appeal to certain people and not to others. I think that Maddox is adept at the humor that he's trying to achieve.

Ok......In general, I think that my view of teh Segway comes from these thoughts:
I usualy look at something and think of how usefull something is. When I look at the Segway and see the way that you can lean forward and not fall off, I think that its pretty cool. I also look at the way that it goes over terrain and think that its cool too. The steering is also equaly impressive.

Now, I also consider other factors. For one I think about what this thing does in relation to other forms of transportation. The Segway does nothing that a Bicycle doesnt already do. It doesnt go as fast as a Quad, motorcycle, or other forms of offroad transportation. Also, for the pricetag, it doesnt deliver the speed id want in a transport.

For me, I think that the amount of money does not deliver an equaly impressive feat. For that much, I wouldnt want something that seems like a glorified power wheels toy. Its almost like the Ngage (Marginaly though. Nothing compares to that crap) in the respect that for the amount of money, it doesnt deliver benifits decent enough to warent a purchase.

Maddox is very funny, and once in a while makes some surprisingly valid points. For funniness, go look at the article "why stop with a muppet with aids?". the jock muppet is the single funniest thing on the internet.

You's like shit like penny arcade because it gives a sarcastic and jaded view on videogames. JEES I WONDER WHERE I COULD FIND SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Maddox stirs shit for fun and is really good at it (haha, read the hatemail), and as stated above, he's really good at the kind of humour he's aiming for. He's also one of the best MS Paint artists around!

He is good at the type of humor he attempts? His style is blunt, crude, witless, repetitive, old, and uncreative. Being great at that is about as prestigious as placing first in the Special Olympics.
