Those pics shit it all over Halo 2!!
I'm surprised. It has a Rainbow in the name! If anybody could appreciate that around here, it'd be you. Now that there is no real meaning, the name is quite stupid.Quote:

I don't hate it because it's on the PS2. I don't hate it because its a FPS. I don't hate it because of the developer.
I hate this game because of all the Halo2 vs Killzone posts that fanboys will make in the coming months.
I don't care about either game! :)

I sure hope Grizzlebees delivers..
Rainbow 6 means this:
A SWAT type special counter terrorist group, with members from England, US, Italy, Germany and they might have had a Spaniard and some others, headed by John Clark and his son-in-law Domingo Chavez (played by Willem Defoe in Clear and Present Danger and Liv Shriver in Sum of All Fears, and the lone sniper that survives in Clear and Present Danger Respectively).
I believe the rainbow part represents the mutiple nations involved, but the 6 isn't the number of people in it. In the book, Rainbow 6, there's 2 or 3 teams of 6 dudes, I think.
It's just the name that most people call them, though they are a hidden group and not public.
Good book, btw.
killzone from what i remember is a military tactic in which trops corner the oposition from all sides which allows them to completly saughter their enemies , in killzone the game u start out in a killzone.
i dont mind the name of the game but how it plays, but the codename for this game was kin which to me doesnt sound any better
Usually, a killzone is used like it was in the first gulf war.
The terrain is divided into a grid, and each square is given over to a number of troops, tanks, aircraft and so on, and they are responsable to kill any and all opposition in that particular zone.
There's a series called 'Inside the Killzone' narrated by Michael Ironside on Discovery Channel (maybe Discovery Wings) that has a few hours of good information on the tatic.
Personally, I don't find the name Killzone to be any worse than SOCOM (Special Operations COManad, or HALO, which actually makes me think of High Altitudue Low Opening jumps rather than a ring of metal around a planet.)
So it's like the opposite of a blitzkrieg? Or I suppose a blitzkreig turns immediately in to a killzone once you land in the middle. But you also have an army coming to help you, so it's probably not the same.
It just sounds so blatant.
So. When do we get pictures of it running on PS2 hardware?
MVS did you join the Army like you said you were gonna?
