Interesting....what do you all think? I don't look at it as a ranking per se, but rather as a collection. Of course, I'm sure most folks round here have played most of these, but not a bad list for a questionable/mainstream publication like PSM.

Funny, I've played most of the PS2 ones (Kinetica is horrible, by the way), and all of the PS1 ones. I don't know if I played the first Rollcage or Stage 2, but it wasn't so good, regardless. They could have picked a lot better than this.

Glad RAD appeared, though. I'm still dying to try that game... looks like a blast.

A lot of that stuff is pretty mediocre. REZ, Gitaroo Man, and ICO are outstanding...Ring of Red flat out sucks.

actually, i think that's a surpirisingly good list.

15. Contra: Shattered Soldier - this doesn't belong, it sold very well for what it is, and it could be much better

14. Battle Engine Aquila - this game is actually pretty cool. i reviewed it, and i ended up having a fond memory of it.. the ps2 version bites compared to the xbox one, though.

13. Fatal Frame - it sold beyond tecmo's expectations so it may not belong, but it's probably a game that was also overlooked. i haven't played it, but everyone i know (aside from a few) seem to think it's sadly flawed..

11. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil - over-fucking-rated

10. Ico - well, of course. but i do think it deserves a lot of the recognition.

9. Disaster Report - i still need to pick this up..

8. Gitaroo Man - i know people who do backflips for this game.

7. REZ - i love it. =)

5. Shadow Hearts - a very good, sadly overlooked RPG.

1. Rygar: The Legendary Adventure - surprisingly good, and in the wake of castlevania, surprisingly still relevant.

after all the praise this game gets here, i was expecting a masterpiece, so i bought the xbox version. returned it the next day. i haven't played it in several months, so i can't quite explain exactly why i disliked it, but the terrible voice acting was definately one of the reasons.

Disaster Report is $20 at Best Buy - is it worth it?

Suikoden 2 should be in there--I just started playing it yesteday :)

Oh and I agree with the vot for R.A.D. Got mine for $20 gamestop if you can find it...

Shadow Hearts being there should make Despair happy.

I think the list is nice. It'll get the word out about chronically under rated games . . . and some over rated ones. :p
