Yeah, they altered all the game art to remove the crosses. Since the game is basically about two churches, I'm a little dubious that the dialogue will be unaltered. Heck, the main villian is an evil priest. They'll probably turn him into a used cart salesman or something.
The change is probably very minor, but since I've played through the original it would end up bothering me to no end, so I'm not buying the game again to play it in english after all, though I had only planned to pick it up again cheap anyway.
Fucking hell.
I'm a crazy Catholic, and I take OFFENSE to the fact that they think I'll be offended.
I agree with Chao . . . except I'm not Catholic.
The really crazy thing is it's very pro Christianity. I mean the evil church consorts with demons while the good church excorsizes them and eventually wins over the evil one, mainly through Prier being pure of heart despite some of her other failings. And her boss is like the coolest priest ever. He's like Bruce Lee reincarnated as St. Peter. :pQuote:

I really LIKED the anti-hero aspect.Quote:

...but, of course, I'll be buying this anyway. If this turns out to be so true, I'm definitely firing an e-mail to these guys, just to let them know how I feel. I'm REALLY looking forward to this game, and hearing about such disappointing stuff right before its release makes me sadder than a Uruguayan Depression Bird.
Well that sucks, talk about you're twisted morals... I mean you can beat hookers down and run people over with cars but you can't have crosses in a game... it's not like there was never a cross in a game before :wtf:
This explains why Prier is spelled without an e on the end.
Will the plot of this game even make sense without the religious overtones? Or are they just going to change it so that the religion is no longer recognizable as Christianity in particular?
I imagine they won't alter the dialoge TOO heavily considering they're keeping the japanese voices in there.
