La Pucelle: Tactics to US

How far along are they already, or have they not even started?

The PS One is nearing it's last legs, with major retailers like EB and Gamestop finally cutting down it's PS One space... they better hurry if they want to see any kind of return investment on this one, and to get it past the approval board.

Ah. I had a feeling it was PS One since everyone is talking about the companies other ps one games, but I guess they just haven't done much of anything else.

Is this game 2d, or 3d? Because if it's 2d, there's a huge doubt in my head that it will get approved by the board, and I'll not celebrate a new tactics game until it's 100% official.

It's the same as Disgaea, graphically. So if that was approved, I don't see why La Pucelle would have trouble.

This is pretty cool, I hope we see more small publishers bring niche titles over in the future. I bet this was in their minds all the time, with the past two releases used to gain some experience & cash to finance this project. This reminds me of Conspiracy Entertainment back in the DC days.

Actually, La Pucelle doesn't even feature a 3D homeworld like Disgaea's castle... In the towns, you just run your character in a 2D plane past doorways & click to enter. The battlefields are the only 3D aspect of this game.

I'll not expect the worst. RPGs aren't the type of games a company would snag the rights to in order to make a quick buck, they take too much time to translate, and don't pay off that well once they hit shelves anyway.

As for whether Sony will approve the game: Mastiff have already officially announced it, so it has to have made it past concept approval already. Sony could still send it back for more fixing up if they feel that the final product isn't quality, but that's a different story.
