I envy the fact you have japanese, all that's offered here is Spanish and German :yay: and i think simple chinese, BUT I WANT TEH WARM SAKE!
Good luck on your mid-terms though...
Thanks dude... in all honesty Japanese isn't all it's cracked up to be by gamers and other uber-nerds. I enjoy it, but Ive only been taking it for this long because I needed the language requirement, and now this quarter it counts for a general education class in humanities. After this quarter Im done. The EALC program here is very very good and as such it's a lot of work.
Japanese is an interesting language to learn and certainly pretty to speak and listen to but I could probably think of a few I would've enjoyed more in hindsight.
It can also get messy when you're taking on several different conjugations and phrase endings to a word, but hey, what can you do? It's their language. And one of them is, ironically enough, Chinese.
7 out of 10, or something.
I plan on becoming fluent eventually though, only because I like to finish what I start. Well... I also want to go to Japan and score lots of easy poon.
All math majors I've ever met have been insane.
Mzo: That's because the curriculum is so goddamn difficult it warps your brain. And the type of thinking you need for some classes molds your entire way of thinking into something completely out there. Im definitely headed down that path now... if Im not there already, give me another 6 months or so.
I'm being serious here.
One of my old roommates was like a super math genius... we had Calc 2 together and he aced, and I mean ACED it w/o ever going to class (or studying, as far as I could see). He would buy and read math textbooks for fun. We'd go to a bookstore, and I'd be at the register with a Green Lantern TPB and he'd have some goddamn MATH BOOK. Crazy.
EDIT: As long as your warped brain can still make fun of people, your crazy ass should still be fine on TNL, diff :p

Nobody's doubting you. A guy I know parallels your experience. As an engineering major he has gone through all sorts of excruciating mind-fucking. He returned a different man after first year...
