It'd never work out between us; you don't celerate Halloween. That's a dealbreaker, as far as I'm concerned.Quote:

That said, if you celebrate Halloween, or are even tollerant of the stinking, filth-ridden, Satanic holoday, you are going to Hell.

Just kidding. Here's the way I look at it: every parent has the God given right to raise their child in a way that they see fit. If this means that they'd rather not celebrate Halloween for whatever reason, fine. I'll not judge you for it. But don't look down your nose at me for celebrating it, or judge me, or tell me I'm not as good a Christian as you are. And for crying out loud, NEVER tell me not to do something. Never.
Remember guys, these parents are doing only what they believe is a correct action in God's eyes, and for that they can't be faulted. It's a better-safe-than-sorry kind of attitude. Is it a bit extreme? Certainly. Is the justification for these actions readily apparent? Certainly not. But it isn't any reason to judge them. If you guys have kids, let them go out for Halloween, but just as you wouldn't like some Christian telling you not to let your kids do it, you must reciprocate by not telling them to let their kids do it.
Not "just about every," but every last one. The only holodays that weren't originally pagan are the Jewish feasts and High Holodays. Every single last "Christian" holoday was the result of a placating Catholic church that did more harm than good.Quote:

Both of these are incorrect when the entire Bible is taken into account. No person who descends from the seed of a man is sinless, thus effectively nullifying the first document, and flesh and blood cannot enter into Heaven's Gates, thusly effectively nullifying the second document.
Both of these Ex Cathedra (perfect discourse by the Pope on matters not contained within the Bible, and the ONLY time the Pope is considered infalable) would seem to have pagan origins.
I hope you don't apply that philosophy to everyone.Quote:

I do not think not celebrating haloween is "extream" or whatever you guys want to call it. Just because I'm not going along with the masses does not make me wrong.
Not to offend anyone, but if an omnipotent and omniscient god can't tell the difference between me celebrating what is now a commercial and harmless holiday and me performing pagan rituals or what have you, he can go fuck himself.
That's not the point, Mzo. God can, and in fact does make that very distinction. Freedom in Jesus Christ. Let no man judge you for the sabbath you observe, or holidays and new moons that you wish to celebrate.
It's people that make the big deal about this kind of thing. However, when they make this "big deal" about Halloween, it's because they're holding themselves accountable to God, and for that we cannot fault them. God isn't telling them not to do it. As I said before, God says in His own Bible not to let others judge you for the holidays you observe. They, themselves, are choosing to do it.
Yeah, I get it...
I was going to make a joke, something about why can't these people loosen up, because Jesus knew how to get down, and link to that dancing Jesus from the Simpsons.
I can't find it; I'm surprised no one has recreated it online.
EDIT: I read the post above.
I believe he was referring to pagans hopping over Christianity just because they had a virgin, not her being added later on.Quote:
