:( Dude I am so clueless (i know, big surprise  ). Is the Jesus the White thing a Lord of the Rings reference where Gandalf comes back in the Two Towers? Because if it isn't I don't get it.

But don't look down your nose at me for celebrating it, or judge me, or tell me I'm not as good a Christian as you are. And for crying out loud, NEVER tell me not to do something. Never.
Man oh man do I hate this. I know of Christians who won't even have Christmas trees in their homes because of the pagan background associated with it. Douchebags, my family in Christ Jesus to be certain, but douchebags nevertheless.

Not "just about every," but every last one. The only holodays that weren't originally pagan are the Jewish feasts and High Holodays. Every single last "Christian" holoday was the result of a placating Catholic church that did more harm than good.
Ya know I kinda figured that all but the Jewish holidays were pagan in origin (get that damn easter bunny outta here), but I wasn't completely certain. Thanks for clarifying that.

He is very correct in his statement. The "Queen of Heaven," often thought of as Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, has appeared as simply "The Queen of Heaven," in just about every pagan relegion on the planet. She wasn't Mary in those pagan relegions. The Catholics simply grafted her in.
Yup. :D

Also, you might find it interesting that there have only ever been two Ex Cathedra documents to come out of the vatican, and both of them have to do with Mary. Her "Immaculate Conception," wherein she was concieved without sin, and her "Assumption," wherein she assended into Heaven bodily.
Both of these are incorrect when the entire Bible is taken into account. No person who descends from the seed of a man is sinless, thus effectively nullifying the first document, and flesh and blood cannot enter into Heaven's Gates, thusly effectively nullifying the second document.
WTF? How in the world did these doctrines even get out the door? As you already stated it would have been impossible for Mary to have been born without sin as both her parents were of the flesh. As for the second.........HUH?!?! WHA??!! BUH!!!!?? How in the fu-...........
*ahem* Okay, first of all the ONLY person to have ever entered heaven without dying was Enoch and even then he was translated into the spirit. He did not enter as flesh and blood. Secondly, just where exactly did this asinine idea come from? Certainly not from God. Mary was a woman, blessed to be sure, but a normal woman and nothing more.

Both of these Ex Cathedra (perfect discourse by the Pope on matters not contained within the Bible, and the ONLY time the Pope is considered infalable) would seem to have pagan origins.
Oh yeah, big surprise there.
