Collectable Card Games

Anyone out there play any CCG's?
Personally, I've gotten sick of Magic: The Gathering. I didn't start early enough to be at the level of the experienced players, and there's too much variety for me to choose from in the way of expansions. I've been wondering if anyone's heard anything about the Yuyu Hakusho and .hack games. I got a demo of the Yuyu game at Otakon (mostly for the free shirt), but it seemed a bit too simplistic. I'm also skeptical over how extensive a game based on a 15-year-old anime series can get. .hackl shows more promise to me because of it's recent inception. Anyone have any opinions?

just buy the game on gba to save yourself having to buy pack after pack after pack. i used to play the actual card game but got tired of buying new packs every few weeks. it's a fun game though.

I play Yugioh a lot. That is great fun. Now I'm starting to get into the Initial D card game with some of my friends. The game pretty straightforward and easy to understand and it's pretty fun. If you like the anime, definitely check it out.

(It's based on the White Wolf RPG Vampire: the Masquerade, obviously.)

You really need at least 3 players for it, and 5 is optimal, but it's the most interesting and dynamic CCG I've ever played. Unlike Magic or Pokemon, it's not about collecting power cards, but subterfuge, backstabbing, blackmail, and treachery. There are all kinds of strategies in the game -- combat, politics, etc. -- but to win, you have to make deals with the people on the table, and then break them at just the right moment.

The cards are really cheap compared to other games (a booster pack costs half as much as a M:TG booster in some cases), and the quality is just as high. Check it out!

Hmm...what card does this ZipZap expansion have?

Legend of the Five Rings was a great one... a bit extended but neat.

The Doomtown CCG was fucking awesome, but I think it went under, too bad, it was a great concept.
