It bugs me that 2d fighters and shooters have survived yet 2d platformers, a genre I love much more, have been shit on. If 2d is destined to die that's fine, but let it die equally among all genres.

I'm still against the censorship, even if SNKP does it to the original US arcade releases. The US MVS & NGHC versions shouldn't be censored to begin with. Those who bought KOF 2000 & 2001 should write a letter praising the game but also rapping the censorship- if these concerns are sent to SNKP Japan, then hopefully they'd at least think of knocking off the edits or at least adding a censor on/off switch under options.
I am indeed hoping that they don't censor Metal Slug 3 or Samurai Shodown V. SNK Playmore should be willing to take an M on MS3 & SSV if that's what the ESRB would give an uncut version. The M rating has never stopped other games from selling well- just ask Rockstar with GTA.

Another Edit: You'll also see why it's weird they cut Lin out of 2003... his story was far from being over.
Ok enough with the censorship topic, that's all I've heard about and I find it a little silly. Without a unibios chip these games were censored in the first place. Even the MVS versions. (English)

Just got this today and I'm stunned at how great everything is in both games so far. The end boss in 2001 is a classic cheap-as-hell SNK boss.
Sent off an email to SNK as a goof complaining about the censorship. If they bother to reply and they say anything worth repeating I'll post it.
I think we speak the loudest by not buying ports like that.... But then again, SNK will think that there is no market for 2D fighting games... Dilemma.
Yes it is. They might end up losing my suppost, but I will get MS3, if it ever comes out, regardless if it's censored or not. In other news I got my 5 trading cards a week ago after mailing in the registration card for the double-pack. I'm not going to open them though as I will probably sell this some day.
