Crucial piece of advice: somewhere west of Balmora you'll find a redguard chick wandering around, not far from a certain Blades trainer's hut. You can get the Boots of Blinding Speed off her, a very necessary item which removes a huge amount of tedium from the game. You'll travel far, far faster. Of course, you'll also be blind, so you'll have to find a way around that....
west of balmora! thank you! I thought it was over near Caldera or something.
more advice: sell all weapons and armor to this friendly scamp called the creeper, who is in the Ghorak Manor in Caldera. Theres a system by which you can sell any item of extreme value to him despite his gold limit of 5000. Search this thread for it, its probably under "creeping"
Selling stuff to him is dangerous though, as it seems that if you need something back later, it might well have dissappeared from his inventory.
there is a better merchant too, but he can be somewhat cantankerous, downright crabby even.Quote:

Holy shit!
People are still playing this? Anyone know which are the best mods for the pc version?
My xbox died and now I will probably only be playing the pc version from now on. I miss using the controller to move around in the game.
I'm so tempted to rebuy Morrowind because of you fuckers.
eh its cheap, and you get an assload of content, even on the console, why not?Quote:

There's too many mods to count and many not worth thinking about.Quote:

I've already started saving for computer upgrades for ESIV. Even though I know that the most awesomely kick ass PC at its release will still run it like shit. :p
I'm almost tempted to give Morrowind a 3rd chance, Jesus.
I remember a bunch of mods that were suggested, but still, more lists.
Marksman mod, light gem, maybe one of those new landmass ones, the two official expansion packs... Anything else?
strangely six and me use none of the same modes. my favorites are
heavens lookout-adds neat floating area with newly textured weapons, may have quest attached.
sea of destiny- the first big landmass one.
wizards islands-the new big ass one. island, big quest, and loads of new ugly monsters, many new music bits, some of which are a leetle reminiscent of some final fantasy 4/2 us songs, but all fit the themes very well. huge so plan ahead before dling
star boi's hidden pathway and epic armory- both big ones for mage characters, but also combat and stealthers too, beautiful robes, and magical looking weapons, lots of particle effects so low enders be warned. you will need to download herdy gurdy's robes to get it to run, but dont worry, you will want too, they add lots of new robes for mages and fitted robes for female mages.
better bodies-hey you know how the bodies in morrowind are kind of disjointed? fix that, smooths out the bodies and makes them look far better
beauty pack-about 60+ new faces, a lot repeat but they kick the hell out of the default faces.
carnethus armamentarium- infinitesimal chance i actually spelled it right, nice dark armors for spooky looking chars, be evil, or just look it, very pretty.
ultimate knight pack-other side of the coin, look chivalrous with soem kick ass heavy armors.
the underground- weird vampyric companion mod, if you get this you dont need to dl the carnetheus one because its pretty much included. uses upgraded following scripts by the recently deceased modder "grumpy" so the companion is much smarter than the idiots you were hauling along on the escort missions.
better bodies and head pack1 and 2 for aragonians. i love aragonians, they are fast, look cool, and are the only ones who arent bastards once you check out their culture, the modder "silaria" gives them cool scale-patterns and a massive number of cool head horns, if you play aragonians and play on pc you must get it, you will never use the default heads and "hair" again.
to find thses first check on the official mw forum, most have threads dedicated to them, and links, many are on fileplanet so be ready to sign up for it, its free so its no big deal.
heh it leaks the names of all covert blades members  but i second this one, its by the modders canadienice and howendog, both very talented modders, especially if you plan on ever making a female character, then you downright NEED ice's mods, as she added tons of outfits for the game. only bugger is you have to sign up for her forum to dl her stuff, but tis worth it,and its not like you ever have to post after signing up(but you could, its a small, polite community)Quote:

I killed some rats last night.Quote:

for a list of mods, check the Oblivion thread.
He's on one of the islands in the far southwest. You have to fly/swim out to find him.Quote:

Spz Interior Daylight I think it adds light from the sun through windows when indoors.
Windowlights - adds lights to windows at night. REALLY adds to town atmoshpere
IcesRoveReplacer - Clothes that don't suck
Flowing Capes - a cool cape or seven
superAdventurers (http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/adventurers/) - Follow the link to read because this one does EVERYTHING
More mods at http://www.mwmythicmods.com/telesphoros.htm
And should these be merged with the Official TESIII:MW thread? No reason to dirty up this fine Oblivion thread with old junk like this :p
Now I wanna start a new character...
DAMN THIS THREAD!
I could probably be able to rig up a two tier, but probably not 3. It would be awesome to manage all of your stats and gear in one screen and leave the other two for viewspaces.Quote:

Yup. I'm going to install the Adventurer's 3 mod and try to beat it for the umpteenth time. I never seem to get tired of Morrowind.
Ah, dammit, nevermind. The second link is broken and there's no way I'm signing up for Fileplanet.
lemmie know which ones you want, i belong to them, and could probably e-mail them to ya.Quote:

dling now, its probably soemthing i need anyhow ;) let me know if you want any other one that i mentioned.Quote:

get yourself telekenisis and get yourself to the dren plantation.
I've beaten the game so many times and acquired so many things that I just go into the console and additem all day long. In fact, I got so tired of doing that that I would just find some random NPC, beef their stats up, give them items, and then set them to follow me forever. Then I just sneak around and watch them do all the fighting. And yeah, he does sort of look like Sir McKellan moreso than Stewart.
EDIT: And for Andrew, I just make my own class every time now. Primary stats are Security, Sneak, Athletics, Acrobatics, and Long Blade. The five most important ones, quickest way to level up.
Ok, I've already installed this Morrowind Visual Pack and the FPS Otimizer, but I'm still looking for some more mods that will boost the game's graphical performance. It looks like The Lighting Mod requires Tribunal/Bloodmoon so, I won't be able to use that one. Any other suggestions?
Also, my game crashes pretty frequently when I’m roaming in the outdoor areas (about once an hour); is this a common occurrence when playing Morrowind?
lol u bought the wrong game dood!1
Sorry, I didn't have anything constructive.
talk about being late to the party...

I don’t like to spend a lot of money on games, so I have no problem being a few years behind on important single-player releases.Quote:

So yeah, any mod advice pertaining to Morrowind's graphics would be appreciated.
not common. The game was buggy at first but after a couple patches i don't think there was much of a problem anymore. I didn't have one anyway.Quote:

The Morrowind Orchestra - A whole bunch of new songs by some amateur musician. This is awesome. Everyone knows Morrowind's soundtrack is great, but there just isn't nearly enough of it. These songs fit in beautifully.
Whoa, been ages since I played morrowind. May start again after I've finished oblivion.
*prays his 360 doesn't die so he doesn't have to play it on his crap pc*
