Yeah the hardware is really nice, the screen is twice the size of GBA's. Not only that, it's CPU is 66MHZ compared to 16MHZ, it contains 8MBs of SDRAM compared to 256KB or WRAM, displays far more colours, pumps out richer sound, and the media is larger and cheaper. And all of that runs for 12 hours on two AA batteries.
It also has a built-in text and MP3 reader, and people are working on DivX players and the like. Development is very open and there's a great little scene forming. I think we can expect SNES and Genesis emulators in the future, perhaps even Neo Geo.
The only real downfall is support, Capcom and SNK are onboard, but that's basically it when it comes to 'real' developers. Hopefully we'll see some proper support in time.
Well it's getting Mega Man X3, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Breath of Fire 3. Not bad.
thats a great start with those two.Quote:

Rock Man X5 actually, and King of Fighters has been announced as well. Another thing I failed to mention, there's going to be an online element involved. You'll be able to write emails, browse the web and play multiplayer games via cellphone.

Someone's already developed a Bluetooth-based wireless device for the Gameboy Advance, it just needs to get adopted by developers.
Bluetooth means it's standard, and compaitble with many things.
I've read up on the GP32 in Stuff magazine (that's the UK "Stuff" for technophiles, not the US "Stuff" for undersexed teens). It included all of the info you guys have mentioned. And to be honest, I hope it does well. Not "dethrone GBA" well, that's just asking for to much, but well enough that it doesn't become another NGPC.
You can already import it if you know where to look, from what I've read. I haven't come across anywhere that sells it, but if I did, and the price was right, I would definatly consider it.

Go there and look for one.
I've played with one of those things before, it's pretty cool.
