Any one else play this? I think it's a rather good game. The way EA was able to integrate all of the different balls and possitions so that the player has control over all of them is ingenious.

If this were on XBOXLive it would be the greatest and most amazing thing ever.
I still haven't gotten a chance to play it :( It looks really fun, even though I know nothing of the Harry Potter outside of the movies.
I agree. XBOX Live would have made the game that much better . . . except that I don't have XBOX Live. :(
It's like salt in an open wound.
I'm a little interested because I'm a big HP fan.
It's too bad there's no online play...
how did they implement the seeker? it seems like a gamebreakin sorta thing...
Well, the Chasers are the main body of the game. You control the Chaser with the Quaffle, and as you pass it back and forth, your character control switches. Just like any other sports game, really.
As you score points with the Quaffle, you are doing two things: putting your team up in points (10 per score) and building up your Seeker's boost meter. As the boost meter builds (which fills up faster with passing/scoring combos, rather than just single player scores), it places the two halfs of the Snitch closer together. You see, each team's boost meter is capped off with a half of the Snitch. As your boost meter increases in length, it places the two halves of the Snitch closer together. When they join, you assume control of the Seeker and do your best to catch it. Consequently, the Seeker with the longer boost meter has the better chance of catching the Snitch. The two boost meters are directly related to one another, because as you gain more meter, it's that much less that your opposition can get ahold of.
It works really great in practice. I don't know what you mean by "gamebreaker," though. Elaborate?
APPEND: I didn't even mention the Beaters! You have control over the Beaters at the same time you have control over the Chasers. After preforming a certain amount of combo passes and goals, you are awarded one of four special moves: Your team's special move, a short turbo boost for your Chasers, a special dodge move for your Chasers, or a Beater. When you push the correct button, a Beater will whack a Bludger toward the opposing team's Chaser (the one with the Quaffle), and then you get to guide the Bludger home, whacking the Chaser and gaining control of the Quaffle.
It really is an ingeniously designed game. But like I said, it's a bit easy. But I'm only on my second World Cup match, so hopefully it'll get progressively more difficult. I'm playing and France, and up to this point, no one has scored a single goal on me by any normal means (team England has scored twice on me by way of team special moves).
haha, your last 2 posts sound like total gibberish
Yeah, well, there's so much going on in a Quidditch game, if you don't call everything by it's proper name all meaning is lost.
