But yeah, Nintendo sales will be good, I think. And despite what IGN and others might bitch about in Mario Kart, this game is going to sell. And I'm going to buy it no matter what. There's not a lot Nintendo could do to make me NOT buy it. MK hasn't disappointed me yet... well, when they removed Koopa from the first game, that kind of stung. The back of the MK64 box said all of our favorite characters were there, in 3D... yeah, mine was rendered as a giant rock. :mad:

But Sony will probably own things, as usual.

Not a lot of games for anything have really caught my interest lately and made me need to run out and buy anything. Not that I can really afford to buy too many games anymore... college. Fun.

sony will own again and whatever sales Ninja Gaiden gets it will be over shadowed by the sales of Manhunt , i see Nintendo surviving on the GC pricedrop and the GBA , Nintendo doesnt have a single BIG game out this holiday meaning GC2 in 2004

Funny stuff. Look up Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu on Anime Suki. Bizarre, but excellent series. The OVA is good, too.

I think Sony will take it easily again, though the margin will be noticeably smaller than last year due to the Cube's massive price drop and the SPs momentum propelling them forward.

In any case, Nintendo will probably gain enough ground from the Cube's price drop alone to put them well ahead of Microsoft for 2nd place.

Ninja Gaiden's release date is presently December 15th, which would put it in stores on the 16th according to Gamestop, and even that's still not firm. It may not even make the holiday season at all if it gets pushed again, and a little over 1 week on the shelf before X-Mas probably won't make all that much a difference in sales for M$.

Look at the numbers for the PSOne - it still seens on a consistant basis. Your comment about the PS2 could have been applied to the PSOne years ago, but there are obviously still people who have yet to buy one but want one. (Not all of those purchases are replacements.)

Thus, I'm pretty certain the PS2 is in no danger of having no more real market to try to tempt into a purchase.
