Am I the only one who thinks there's WAY too much leveling-up in this game? I got to the second Judge you fight (at Mt. Bar-Omisace), and I'd just done a bunch of gil-farming, so the leveling followed that, and now it seems I have to go do some more, as the Judge is doing a bit too much whoopin' on me. (My parties are at a pretty solid 27). It's ghey.
No way, I like it this way. You have to actually use support magicks and have some sort of strategy in boss fights instead of just mashing x and occasionally tossing out a potion. It's way more intense when it's a close match.Quote:

I enjoyed the challenge, it was awesomesauce. I didn't farm a single level for any of the bosses. I was about the same level as you when I did this, maybe 26, it's just probably your technique, or bad luck.
At lower levels than icarusfall I took down that judge with two Quickening strings.
I did seem a bit underleveled for the new region of the world that I have to go through (right after that fight, pretty much), but I also realized that I was pretty damn behind on the armor for the whole party. Haven't given it another go yet.
No farming at all outside of that.
I admit I farmed cash a few times, but not because I needed to, because I Had a blast keeping up a 70+ chain to see what items the guys dropped. If I found a place where I could easilly keep up a good chain, I would farm cash there because it's fun for whatever reason lol.
Just fought Gilgamesh for the first timeeeee WHEEEEE!!!j Also I assume he ran further into Site 11, The key washed up along the south village in the dalmasca Eastersand's right? IE go to bed, find out now so I don't want 10 minutes of my life going there lol. Also.. I think Gilgamesh's voice is Dr. Drakken/Bender. But I could be off.
I think part of my problem was being so behind on gambits. Where do I get the "Self: MP < 10%" Gambit?
I was getting fucked on Mist chains. Turns out when I got a good chain going (10 or so) it killed him straight off.
Self MP isn't for a long time, you're simply going to have to go X (switch) x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x pause. x.
I have done so much gil farming that every boss battle except Dr. Cid has been an autopilot battle. I only use Quickenings when a boss battle has side mobs that are easily wiped out with a concurrence.Quote:

I needed 210k, and I have earned 95k so far. Thief Cuffs + all grimoires have helped a lot, as did two 75 zombie chains in the shrine.
