I'm not really doing the side-quests at all. I just want to play the main game, so I can finish it and get on with purchasing FEAR and Gears of War. I"m liking the game a lot, but I don't want to be playing this until the end of the year.
Truth, focus some points into augmentations, especially the faster actions and HP+ ones. Keep in mind that getting Quickenings gives you an extra full MP bar. That is hot.
I'm getting owned by the Elder Wynn in the Jungle thing after the playboy bunny village. Stupid status effects! I bought everyone a golden armlet which=double the LP points earned. Sweet.
Not all of them for everyone, but I'm working on it. They're definitely helpful.Quote:
Yeah Tain, have you got all the +HP augments yet? There's about 1000 points you can get at the middle left side of the bottom.
hurr. I think a big problem is that I pretty much only use one team. Vaan is at 32, Fran at 30, and Basch at 30. Balthier's around 26 or so, and Ashe and Penelo are way down at 21. Pretty much made no effort to swap them into play.Quote:
I'm at 22 across the board and I just got to Jahara. Don't know what you've been doing. You know you can fight those enemies you see, right?
I don't know. Do you guys never, ever, ever flee? Do you go out of your way to kinda clear out areas before proceeding?
After the Stilshrine, I think I found things getting a little tougher, so I kinda walked around more and more encounters. Avoiding the flying enemies. Stopped fighting new nonhostiles. That sort of thing.
uuuuugh i suck at RPGs.
All I've done so far is gold farming at Bhujerba. I really can't bring myself to actually go out and grind. I guess I should go after more hunts, since they'll get tougher and all that, but they've been so tedious and easy so far. Maybe I'll try the Cluckatrice again.Quote:
Maybe you guys should do some sidequests or something instead of trying to grind. Go do some Hunts, explore your map, things like that and just walk from place to place and you'll be levelled no problem. I never tried to level even once and ended up at like double what Nomi was.
I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging or better-then-you or something, but I really have no clue where all this trouble that you guys are having is coming from. I pretty much just went everywhere I could, explored, and did whatever I could find to see what else was going on in the world and everything else just worked out.
I haven't done shit for hunts beyond the tomato cactus thing in the beginning. I just try to kill everything that comes on screen. THat said, I did spend about an hour doing leveling gil-farming in the snow area. Seriously, just grind out the Courels for an hour or so, and you should have everyone up to speed.
What kind of gambits do you have set up?
"Mindless levelling" pretty much sums up the reason why I haven't touched this game in a week. Dammit Square, what's the point of ditching random battles if I have to kill everything I see anyway just so I don't get raped by the next boss? :/
I'm going to have to mock MMORPG players twice as hard from now on because of this shit.
So, booyah.
I can stop disliking this game now.
It was a really brief period of levelling up mixed with general exploration, but it worked well enough.
