Hmm...don't you think this is a bit soon to unveil a new console? I mean, GC sales are just starting to pick up. I think securing better and more diverse games for their current system, which is still technically sound, is more important to fixing their woes than rushing out another console.

Unveil it in 2004, release it in 2005. That's what they said they were gonna do. They said they were gonna release at the same time their competitors did.

I know, it's just that the GC was basically such a dud, and that's a shame, because the system really had potential. It coulda been a contenda.

maybe they should sit out for a while. i mean really, remember when sega started cranking out the systems that were more powerfull and yada yada. they need 3rd party support of which the last 2 generations hasnt been that well. it seems lately that its not the userbase that decides the 3rd parties, but rather a reversal and the third parties decide the initial userbase and pre-sells.

So is this the super-uber-new hardware thing that Iwata talked about earlier this year?

They need to stop all this, focus on the Gameboy market and do 3rd party work on the side.

My prediction: It sucks.

Gamespot, and many other sites, are mixing up words. Its been announced that this product is NOT the succesor to the gamecube or the GBA. Its something new.
