Anyone know what causes the boot screen for the Playstation 2 screen to change? It seems to add more boxes and lights as time goes on. Is it because of how much you play it or how many times you turn it on? Anyone know?

I think it has to do with how many saves are on your memory card.Quote:

It's how many times you've turned it on with the memory card in slot one. That's what the 5kb System file is for. It resets after becoming full of pillars/cubes.
